THE CELESTIAL SPHERES - Carved in one large piece of solid oak hardwood. Just over 15 inches in diameter. 3/4 inch thick.

An intricate rendering of the fundamental cosmology that illuminates and informs the workings of the Hermetic magician. To be considered as a map of manifestation and an initiatory path in our work as well as a beautiful addition to a working or meditative space.

Based upon the German humanist Peter Apian's depiction of the geocentric celestial spheres in his Cosmographia (1539), this detailed piece is carved into a single large piece of solid oak and hand finished. The carved inlay is stained, gold gilt accentuates the central elemental motif and the piece is finished with several coats of danish oil to bring out the natural radiance of the wood.

A hefty piece, this new version is just over 15 inches in diameter.
